卡普龙轴承是原苏联国家生产的一种匀质材料成份与赛龙轴承相似的非金属高分子合成材料，它具有优良的抗磨损性能，其中包括优良的抗泥沙性能，能够承受高压冲击载荷，有较理想的承压比，由于具有自润滑性，因此具有良好的干起动性，这一重要性质使卡普龙轴承在运转中，材料本身抗磨损的同时，对艉轴铜套的磨损很小，这是很多轴承材料所不具有的十分重要持点，因此，卡普龙轴承做为船舶艉轴承、舵轴承、甲板机械轴承材料是一种理想的轴承材料。
